We'd like to run some contests around here in order to help keep things interesting and maybe draw in some new members. I think for the first contest, we'll keep it simple. Nothing that will take up too much time. I'd also like to use this thread to brainstorm ideas for future contests, as well as prizes.
What we have so far for contest ideas:
-Write a short story based on a prompt
-Write a short story while including a list of words or ideas
-Fill out a character questionnaire
-Come up with a story title and character names based on a prompt - it'll be like a fill in the blank
-Write a scene based on a prompt
-Write a story based on a song
-Edit a passage
What we have so far for prize ideas:
-Comments/reviews on a story from Valkyrie and Okapi
-Critiques from Valkyrie and Okapi
-Shoutouts on Wattpad
-Dedications on Wattpad
If anyone has any more ideas for a contest or wants to offer to do a comment for a prize winner, let us know here. We'd also like to know which of those contests you'd be interested in and which you wouldn't be interested in, or if you need clarification about what each one would entail, I can provide more details. Which prizes would entice you to enter more?
