If anyone has some suggestions for additional boards, go ahead and post them here or send me a PM if you want to remain anonymous. I was thinking about adding a role play section since that can help with character development. Also thought about an art board perhaps? Let me know what you'd like to see!

So here's my thoughts.
Definitely do an RP thing. I think it should be in it's own category and we could have different boards. Like Character Development RP where people RP as their characters. And then another one specifically for people to RP whatever they want. And IDK. I guess we could leave it at those two unless someone else has ideas. Maybe make another one for silly RPs where people can just screw around, but that could probably just be a thread in the correct board.
An art board would be good. Because people like drawing characters and making covers and stuff. We could also make a music place and talk about novel soundtracks, music related games, if someone wants music for a particular scene. Stuff.
Then I think we should do a games category too. And have boards like Forum Games, Writing Related Games and maybe a place for off site games and let people talk about them. Not sure on the last one. But maybe if someone else wants it. And we could probably stick art and music in this category just so we don't have a lot of two board categories and call it "Fun And Games" or something, because I guess the art and music thing is more for fun because this is a writer's site. I suppose RP could go in here too and that way, everything I just mentioned can go in to one category.
One other thing I was thinking about was making a resource thread or board. We could stick it under the Writing category. And people can share writing-related resources there. And maybe make a sticky of the best ones? Or just have a bunch of stickied things like places to post work, editing resources, generators, and whatever other categories. Or we can just start those threads and let them move around as they're used. Yeah, I like that idea the best. I'm being all disjointed here, I know. Brain's going all over the place.
Okay, I'm done. For now. Shutting up. Maybe. No, really. I'm done.

Nevermind. I'm not done.
We need a contest board. Stick it under the writing category. Or maybe we should wait until we are ready to host a contest? That way it's not sitting there all lonely like. Or we could just have some kind of contest anyway. I think a referral contest would be best at this point, but that's not writing related. And there's not a good way to track referrals anyway.

And I'm still not done. I think we should do a Clubs category and have like Fantasy clubs and stuff. But I think it should work as a user-requested thing. So we make a club category, and then have like General Club Shit as a board. People can go there and say like, "I'd like to start a fantasy club." And then other users can be like, "Oh, yeah, I'd totally join the shit out of that," and then when enough people are interested, they get their own little board. Like five people including the requester should be interested I think. If it's four or less people, they can just have their club as a single thread. I just think clubs should be boards rather than threads because when you get a lot of people, you can have twenty conversations going on at once and that can be hard to keep track of.
And I know it's original fiction here, but I think, if requested, we should allow a fan fiction club. Like just one. No clubs for specific types or anything. The focus of the site will be original fiction, but for those who write both, I think it'd be nice if they had their own little corner where they could do fan fiction things.

Not that I write fan fiction or anything. I felt like that could be inferred from what I wrote, so I'm just going to clarify I don't write fan fiction. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Or is there?

You need to lay off whatever it is you're on.
I like most of your ideas. I like all of them honestly. I don't know how to implement it exactly, but we can figure that out. One thing we can do is to make all these categories and boards, and then as we get more members and they use different boards more, or request certain things, we can add to the boards and categories. If we have a significant amount of people who are starting "silly" RPs, then it would make sense to separate that into its own board.
Your idea with the fan fiction is acceptable. Although I know you do write fan fiction. I was thinking that we should have something for them as well. I thought perhaps make an board to advertise other sites, and allow fan fiction writers to post links there, but your idea is better. That way, it will be it's own corner and if people don't want to see it, they can ignore it much easier. Perhaps we will even be lucky enough that no one will request it.

Oh, what about one for serious discussion or debates or whatever. Instead of putting it in the general thread. Anything that could turn into a fight debate could go there. Religion, politics, that sort of thing. I'll go and start lots of fights!

Why not? Could be interesting I suppose, but if things get bad, we might just have to get rid of that board. I don't want this to become a giant fight, even though I'm sure you'd love that.
